90 minutes. Your questions. No slides, no pitch, no fluff.

On Wednesday 9 September at 7:30pm I am going to sit down for an hour and a half and answer questions from electricians.

That is the entire event. I have not prepared a presentation and I am not going to walk you through a framework. You turn up with the thing that is actually bothering you about your business, and I tell you what I honestly think, based on 25 years on the tools and the years since spent helping electricians sort exactly this out.

Bring me anything, including the awkward ones

  • The diary is full and the bank account is not. Where is it going?
  • I am working every hour there is. How do I get an evening back?
  • The phone has gone quiet. What do I do this week, not next year?
  • I am quoting plenty and winning nothing. What am I doing wrong?
  • I want to take someone on but I daren't. How do I know when I am ready?
  • Everyone says I need to be on social media. Do I?
  • I have tried marketing before, it did nothing, why would this be different?

If your question is not on that list, better still. Bring it.

What this is not

It is not a webinar with a pitch bolted on the end. It is not a sales call in disguise. You will not be put on the spot or asked to say anything in front of anyone. Type your question, or just sit there quietly and listen to everyone else's, which is usually where the useful stuff is anyway.

I will mention the ToolBox once, near the end, and take about two minutes over it. If it is not for you, ignore that bit. The other 88 minutes are yours.

Who is James

Time served electrician, 25 years on the tools. Author of the S.P.A.R.K.S Blueprint to Marketing for Local Trades. I have spoken for the NICEIC, at ToolBox Live and at the Trades Growth Summit, and I spend my working week helping self-employed electricians get more customers and keep the ones they have.
